Why partner with Prospect
A reliable talent pipeline in human services, focused on disability services, continuing care, and housing.
Prepared candidates with essential skills and core certifications such as First Aid, WHMIS, Food Safety, and Mental Health First Aid.
On‑the‑job support from Prospect staff, including an Employer Liaison and an Employment Retention Specialist who work directly with your team and the participant.
Funded placements with paid work experiences and training funds available through the program, at no cost to the employer to participate.
How the placement works
Plan the placement with our Employer Liaison. We align learning objectives and tasks to your roles and environment.
Host the participant for a structured 12‑week work experience at your site. Employers may host more than one participant, subject to capacity.
Coach and mentor day to day. You provide guidance and feedback while Prospect provides wraparound support and regular check‑ins.
Hire if it’s a match. Around week eight, Prospect begins employment transition services to support hiring decisions and next steps.
Who can partner
Calgary and surrounding area employers in the community‑based human services sector .
Able to provide a safe workplace, day‑to‑day supervision, and opportunities to practice role‑specific tasks.
Your commitment
Collaborate on a brief plan that sets timelines, learning goals, and supervision.
Offer mentoring, feedback, and a supportive environment throughout the placement.
Participate in check‑ins with the Employer Liaison and Employment Retention Specialist.
