How to Connect with Job Seekers Through Virtual Info Sessions

Virtual info sessions are one of the most effective ways for employers to connect with job seekers in a focused and accessible format. At Prospect, we regularly host these sessions to help employers share hiring needs, workplace culture, and career opportunities with candidates who are actively exploring employment.

If your organization is looking to build awareness, attract talent, and engage with job seekers in a meaningful way, hosting a virtual info session is a simple and impactful option.

Why Host a Virtual Info Session

Virtual info sessions allow you to:

  • Reach job seekers across Alberta, including those in Calgary, Edmonton, Airdrie, Cochrane, Strathmore and surrounding communities

  • Share details about your company, open roles, and hiring process

  • Answer questions directly from participants

  • Build interest in your organization before or after a job fair

  • Demonstrate your commitment to inclusive hiring and community engagement

These sessions are especially helpful for employers who want to connect with candidates outside of traditional recruitment channels or who are preparing for upcoming hiring cycles.

What Prospect Provides

When you host a virtual info session with Prospect, our team will:

  • Coordinate the session and manage registration

  • Promote the event to job seekers through our channels

  • Provide technical support and moderation during the session

  • Help you tailor your presentation to the audience

  • Share follow-up materials or links with attendees

You can choose to present on your own or with support from Prospect staff. Sessions typically run an hour and can be customized to fit your goals.

What Job Seekers Want to Know

During info sessions, job seekers are often interested in:

  • What roles are available and how to apply

  • What your workplace culture is like

  • What skills or experience you are looking for

  • What supports or accommodations are available

  • What makes your organization a good place to work

Being open, clear, and approachable helps build trust and encourages candidates to take the next step.
