Prospect’s ArtRecruits program recently hosted a successful collaboration with Innerlogue, bringing their team together for a unique and transformative arts-based activity led by an ArtRecruits participant. The day-long workshop highlighted the power of art to foster communication, mutual respect, and team cohesion, leaving a lasting impact on all participants.
"The ability to rotate amongst our team and work collaboratively with all our colleagues built open communication and mutual respect, and above all it was fun! The creative activity and engaging trivia allowed each individual's strengths to shine as we united our different perspectives into one beautiful piece of art," shared a participant from Innerlogue.
Collaborating with Local Businesses
ArtRecruits seeks collaboration opportunities with local businesses and organizations in Calgary and Edmonton, inviting 6-12 of their staff or members to participate in an arts-based activity. These collaborations are typically held at the end of our 12-week workshops, serving as a culmination of our clients’ experiences and the employment skills they have been honing. As ‘guest’ participants in the collaborative workshop, a collaborating employer is provided an opportunity to learn more about diverse demographics, inclusion and mental health.
The Collaboration Experience
ArtRecruits participants, who face long-term unemployment or mental health barriers, research the participating business or organization and develop a project and design to be presented at an official event. This initiative offers ArtRecruits participants valuable experience in event planning, group collaboration, and project facilitation. Acting as facilitators, they enhance their leadership skills, build confidence, and learn transferable skills for their job searches and future employment.
