Message from the CEO
Welcome to Prospect.
Thank you for visiting our site. I trust the information presented gives you a sense of what we offer.
In recent years, Prospect has been described using themes such as “Growth”, “Change”, “Challenge”, “Reflection” and “Anticipation”. These themes speak to a time in which we were discovering new and better ways of achieving social outcomes. It was a time that we laid some important and necessary groundwork – groundwork that has equipped us to properly attend to the subjects of our organizational efforts – people looking to improve their quality of life, and communities capable of doing their part.
Our accomplishments in these recent years describe an organization that is becoming more vibrant, diverse, and capable. They are a reflection of our stakeholders’ confidence in what we do now, and also in what they believe we can do. More importantly, they are a reflection of a group that is pushing beyond what is asked of them and is defining its own outcomes, expectations and standards. Our accomplishments are the manifestation of a collective belief in the importance of serving people by transforming community.
It is only through the collaborative efforts of our staff and our countless community stakeholders that Prospect is able to achieve successful client and community outcomes.
As Chief Executive Officer, I am in the privileged position of observing our operations in their entirety and I am reassured to have discovered a number of common denominators at Prospect. I have discovered that every program, every ‘sub-culture’ within Prospect, is characterized by a strong sense of team and is guided by leadership our staff respect and in which they believe. We share a genuine interest for the people Prospect serves, passion and pride in work and reputation, and a stubborn determination to make a difference. I have experienced first-hand the willingness and desire throughout the Agency to quite simply, become better – a better leader, partner and employer. Clearly, for both our staff and Board, it’s not good enough to simply do what we do now, only better. It’s about understanding the changing needs of our community and knowing that our ideas and accomplishments, no matter how innovative, celebrated or recognized, are short lived at best and already past; and that it’s not good enough to be there with great answers to community need – our work is more so becoming about asking the right questions of ourselves and our community. It is here that we find the innovative and unusual nature of Prospect.
Truly, it is both a privilege and opportunity to lead this organization and to be surrounded and supported by such great people and work.
Thank you to the Board of Directors, staff, and supporters of Prospect for your commitment to our mission.
