10/23/2009

On October 7, 2009, PDD held its annual Provincial Community Leadership Awards Gala in Edmonton. These awards celebrate Albertans who help adults with developmental disabilities participate in community life.

Among this year’s nominees were:

Alyssa Hatton, an Axis Disability Services client and Studio C artist. Alyssa was nominated for the Norm McLeod Self-Advocacy Award, which recognizes an adult with a developmental disability whose actions have made communities a more welcoming place for people with developmental disabilities.

And

Studio C, which was nominated for the Community Disability Service Sector Leadership Award. This award recognizes a community service provider or individual that has demonstrated innovative practices that improve services for adults with developmental disabilities. We are very proud to announce that Studio C was the award recipient!
